On the basis of its legitimate interest, as part of its funding requirements and at the request of institutional donors (national or multinational entities), the Association Médecins du Monde (84 Av. du Président Wilson, 93210 Saint-Denis), which is responsible for processing data, may be required to carry out screening, a procedure which consists of verifying that the employee has not been designated as ineligible by the competent authorities to receive funds from donors and is not, as such, on one of the ‘anti-terrorist’ and/or ‘anti-money laundering’ lists drawn up by the said authorities. This procedure takes the form of a check, which consists of comparing the personal details of employees with those on the aforementioned lists, using specific software designed to help organisations carry out due diligence operations, ensure compliance with international regulations and reduce the risk of fraud.
As part of this processing, the data that may be collected include: names and surnames (and if necessary, date and place of birth), nationality, country of residence, and the screening result of the employee. This data is processed by authorized internal services (Human Resources, International Operations, and Logistics) and may be made accessible to auditors representing national or multinational entities requesting Médecins du Monde to conduct screening, solely in the event of audits. The data is retained for 10 years, the maximum period during which Médecins du Monde is subject to these audits. Data transfers outside the European Union may be carried out.
