Privacy policy for recruitment

Médecins du Monde, as the Responsible Party for data processing, undertakes to protect and respect your privacy. With this personal data protection policy, we define the basics of processing the personal data we collect, or that you provide us, and how it will be processed in the context of our recruitment process.

If you apply for a vacancy that we published, the following provisions of the personal data protection policy will apply to all forms of processing your personal information.

 

Your personal data

The information we collect from you

We collect and process certain kinds or all kinds of information from you, such as:

  • Information you provide when you apply for a position. This includes any information provided through an online job platform, through email, during in-person interviews and/or by any other means.
  • We process personal data such as name, email address, home address, date of birth, diplomas, experience, information on your work experience, your skills and trainings that you provide us.
  • If you contact us, we might keep a record of the conversations.
  • A record of the progress you made in the context of our recruitment process.

Information we collect from other sources

We can get your personal data through a third party that recommended you as a candidate for a specific vacancy or more generally to join us and our activities.

 

How we use your information

Legal bases for data processing

We rely on pre-contractual measures for the execution of an employment contract in the case of applications for vacant positions or on our legitimate interests, which are the recruitment of quality staff for our activities, as the legal bases under which we collect and use your personal data.

 

Purpose of data processing

We use the information stored about you in the following way:

  • To manage your applications to positions at Médecins du Monde.
  • To let you know about the current and upcoming job offers at Médecins du Monde and in the context of our pool of candidates.
  • To communicate with you regarding the recruitment process.
  • To help our service providers (such as Workable and their subcontractors and data providers) and Partners (such as employment websites on which you may have applied) improve their services.

 

Recipients

Your data is sent to our recruitment unit and depending on the vacancy, can also be sent to any relevant individuals, directorates or departments.

As stated previously, your information is also shared with Workable, that only uses it according to our directions and according to the provisions of the law. Transfers outside of the European Union

The data we collect from you and that we process through the services of Workable can be transferred to a destination outside of the European Economic Area (EEA) and stored there. In addition, it can be processed by employees outside of the EEA working for us or one of our providers. The aforementioned staff can be responsible for executing of your orders, process information relating to your payments and provide assistance services.

Your data can be shared with i) Workable employees in the United States ii) a data hosting provider for Workable on servers in the United States as well as in Europe. Workable Software Limited and international societies of the group have signed an agreement on data processing, and between Workable Software Limited and each of their data subcontractors. The data processing agreements are designed to protect your privacy rights and provide you with solutions in the unlikely event that your personal data is misused.

 

Storage time

We store all data for 24 months.

Your personal information will be deleted in one of the following cases:

  • End of storage time, or;
  • according to your request, which can be done at any point.

 

Your rights

In accordance with the French IT and Freedoms Law n°78-17 of 6 January 1978, which has since been updated and with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have certain rights over your data, within the limits set by the regulation, such as rights of access, information, modification, opposition, portability, data erasure and processing restrictions.
